<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery housing case which prevents the loss of a short circuit prevention member and prevents short circuits of a discharge terminal with the short circuit prevention member. <P>SOLUTION: A battery housing case 100 has an open surface located on one surface and has a case body 1 housing a battery, a discharge terminal 3 for supplying electric power from the battery housed in the case body 1 to an electronic apparatus, and a lid 2 covering the open surface. A terminal cover 4 is attached to the lid 2 and is selectively switched between a first state where the discharge terminal 3 is exposed and a second state where the discharge terminal 3 is covered.
