<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a library device, and a magazine insertion detecting method and program, capable of detecting whether a magazine is inserted or not about every magazine insertion position, without using a sensor for detecting the insertion of the magazine. <P>SOLUTION: A library device which can store a plurality of media which can be read and written by a computer, and insert a plurality of magazines in which predetermined marks are indicated in each cell for storing the media, includes mark reading means which is provided in accessor means for transporting the medium, and reading the marks about every insertion positions of the magazines; and controlling means for determining that the magazine is inserted in the insertion position when the mark can be read, and determining that the magazine is not inserted in the insertion position when the mark is not read. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
