<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device, etc. capable of realizing high definition, while suppressing a signal processing burden when performing video display using sub-pixel structures of four colors. <P>SOLUTION: A display device 1 comprises: a display panel 10 having a plurality of pixels 11 each including sub-pixels 11R, 11G, 11B, and 11W of four colors; and a drive circuit 20 having a conversion processing part 210 for generating output video signals of four colors R, G, B, and Z based on input video signals of three colors R, G, and B. The conversion processing part 210 generates the output video signals so as to perform display operation in the respective sub-pixels 11R, 11G, 11B, and 11W when a brightness level in the sub-pixel 11W is larger than a threshold A, and so as to perform display operation in the respective sub-pixels 11R, 11G, and 11B and not to perform display operation in the sub-pixel 11W when a brightness level in the sub-pixel 11W is the threshold A or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
