PURPOSE: A display device and a driving method thereof are provided to enable an observer to extend three-dimensional display through a naked eye in a parallax barrier method. CONSTITUTION: A display panel(200) includes a first pixel area for left eye and a second pixel area for right eye. A parallax barrier blocks a part of the display panel. A parallax barrier control circuit controls a form of the parallax barrier. A plurality of detectors detects an ultrasonic wave reflected from a viewer. The parallax barrier control circuit controls parallax barrier according to a location of an observer by a plural of detectors. The parallax barrier blocks a first pixel area. A left eye of the observer blocks a second image pixel.
