<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize performance of a motor while suppressing a spark discharge by actualizing excellent rectification without reference to the degree of wear of a brush body. <P>SOLUTION: The brush device includes a brush body which is energized to abut against a rectifier which rotates in one direction on an abutting surface at a thickness-directional front end, and the brush body is constituted by stacking a plurality of brush body pieces, differing in resistance value from one another, in layers, and the abutting surface wears to move back along the thickness direction. The brush body is so constituted that an area where a brush body piece having a larger resistance value appears on the abutting area downstream side from a brush body piece having a lower resistance value when viewed from the rotating direction of the rectifier and the brush body piece having the lower resistance value appears on the abutting surface as the abutting surface moves back increases and an area where the brush body piece having the higher resistance value appears decreases. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
