Hair treatment agent comprises (a) spelt protein, (b) at least one quaternary ammonium compound comprising e.g. esterquats, quaternary imidazoline compounds (I), amines and/or cationized amines, poly(methacryloyloxyethyl trimethylammonium compounds), quaternized cellulose derivatives, cationic alkyl polyglycosides, cationized honey, cationic guar derivatives, chitosan, and/or polymeric dimethyldiallylammonium salts or their copolymers with esters and amides of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid, and (c) at least one caring fat component comprising (c1) silicone and/or (c2) oil body. Hair treatment agent comprises (in wt.%, based on its weight) (a) spelt protein (0.001-5), (b) at least one quaternary ammonium compound (0.1-10) comprising (i) esterquats, (ii) quaternary imidazoline compounds of formula (I), (iii) amines and/or cationized amines, (iv) poly(methacryloyloxyethyl trimethylammonium compounds), (v) quaternized cellulose derivatives, preferably polyquaternium 10 and/or polyquaternium 67, (vi) cationic alkyl polyglycosides, (vii) cationized honey, (viii) cationic guar derivatives, (ix) chitosan, (x) polymeric dimethyldiallylammonium salts or their copolymers with esters and amides of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid, (xi) copolymers of vinylpyrrolidone with quaternized derivatives of dialkylaminoalkyl acrylate and dialkylaminoalkyl methacrylate, (xii) vinylpyrrolidone-vinylimidazolium methochloride copolymers, (xiii) quaternized polyvinyl alcohol, (xiv) polyquaternium-2, (xv) polyquaternium-7, (xvi) polyquaternium-16, (xvii) polyquaternium-17, (xviii) polyquaternium-18, (xix) polyquaternium-24 and/or (xx) polyquaternium-27, and (c) at least one caring fat component (0.1-10) comprising (c1) silicone and/or (c2) oil body. An independent claim is also included for treating keratin fibers, comprising applying the above hair treatment agent on the keratin fibers, and rinsing it after an exposure time of few seconds to 45 minutes.
