<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system including at least one detector and a central station which performs two-way communication with the detector. <P>SOLUTION: A detector may include an ambient condition detection element, a motion sensor, a control circuit and two-way communication hardware. The control circuit is capable of determining an alarm event on the basis of a first signal received from the ambient condition detection element and transmitting an alarm signal to the communication hardware during the alarm event. The control circuit is further capable of determining a man-down event on the basis of a second signal received from the motion sensor and transmitting a man-down alarm signal to the communication hardware during the man-down event. The two-way communication hardware is capable of transmitting at least one of the alarm signal and the man-down alarm signal to a remote site, and the two-way communication hardware is also capable of receiving a status inquiry from the remote site. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
