The invention relates to novel marker sequences for prostate cancer, excluding inflammatory prostate diseases, diabetes, or polymorbidity, and the diagnostic use thereof, including a method for screening potential agents for such prostate diseases by means of said marker sequences. The invention further relates to a diagnostic device containing such marker sequences for prostate cancer, in particular a protein biochip and the use thereof.
