<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a petri dish permitting easy operation of forming a space between a dish body and a cover by inclining the cover in a closed state. <P>SOLUTION: The petri dish 100 includes: the dish body 200 including a bottom plate 210 and a side wall 220 rising from the periphery of the bottom plate 210; and the cover including a top plate 310 and a skirt 320 hanging from the periphery of the top plate 310. The dish body 200 and the cover 300 are combined with each other so that the skirt 320 is located outside the side wall 220.
