<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion confirmation device and method for separating a characteristic motion included in motion video and presenting it as video. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is a motion confirmation device 1 comprising: a motion video feature amount extraction unit 11 that extracts pixel values of respective frames constituting a time series of motion video as motion video feature amounts; a principal component score conversion unit 12 that applies principal component analysis to time series of the motion video feature amounts to convert them to principal component score time series for respective principal components; a clustering unit 21 that clusters the principal component score time series based on feature amounts thereof; and a final restoration unit 22 that restores principal components determined to belong to the same cluster to video in an original space to generate final restoration video for each cluster.
