Multiple function camera module

摘要

The module (110) has a camera (112) with a spatial resolution imaging sensor (118) for detecting a traffic space (128) in a surrounding area of a motor vehicle. An optical secondary sensor (138) i.e. rain sensor, is integrated in a housing (124), and includes an optical fiber (142) partially integrated into a lens hood (132). The fiber is arranged such that an optical signal is guided from a coupling region (146) to an optical sensor (140), where the optical fiber includes surfaces (162, 164), which suppress light reflection. The secondary sensor is provided with a light source (168) i.e. LED. An independent claim is also included for a method for optically monitoring a surrounding area of a motor vehicle.
