<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform energy-saving running in consideration of operability and comfort, by detecting sound information and more accurately recognizing the action state of a user in an air conditioning space. <P>SOLUTION: An air conditioner, having a microphone 408 for collecting sound in an air conditioning space, includes: an amplifier for amplifying a sound signal detected by the microphone 408; and a band extraction part for extracting a specific frequency band from the amplified sound signal.
