PURPOSE: A shield mechanism for tunnel fire suppression and a method for tunnel fire suppression are provided to completely block a specific spot in a tunnel and rapidly suppress fire in a tunnel. CONSTITUTION: A shield mechanism(1) for tunnel fire suppression comprises a bottom frame tube, multiple strut frame tubes(11), multiple column frame tubes, an inner wall frame tube, a ceiling frame tube, an airtight tube, and a curtain member. The bottom frame tube has an injection port into which compressed air is injected. The strut frame tube is formed on both sides of the bottom frame tube. The column frame tube stands on the middle portion o the bottom frame tube. The inner wall frame tube and the ceiling frame tube are extended upward from both sides of bottom frame to the column frame tube. The airtight tube is formed on the outside of the ceiling frame tube and the inner wall frame tube.
