A household refuge cabin consists of a cubic metal shell (1), a middle layer (2) made of flame retardant and heat insulation material, an I-shaped steel support frame (3) sandwiched in the middle layer (2) made of flame retardant and heat insulation material and a cubic metal lining (4). The cubic metal shell (1) is provided with a metal door (5). The middle layer (2) made of flame retardant and heat insulation material is made by filling and packing the whole middle layer with a composite material of fireclay (6) and asbestos insulation cloth (7). An alarm generator (8), a foldable stool (9), reserve water (10) and compressed food (11), a miniature oxygen generator (12), a mini-flash-light (13) and a small observation and ventilation hole (14) are arranged inside the cubic metal lining (4). The cubic metal shell (1) and lining (4) are obtained by welding metal sheets of 5mm thickness and the I-shaped steel support frame (3).
