PURPOSE: A ventricular assist device having an artificial cardiac pacemaker is provided to prevent simultaneous beating of the ventricular assist device and the heart. CONSTITUTION: A ventricular assistant device having an artificial cardiac pacemaker comprises a pair of conduits, a detecting device, an artificial cardiac pacemaker, and a control device(4). A pair of conduits comprises a cut-out portion, a connection pipe, and an electrode. The cut-out portion is formed to allow blood flow. The electrode transfers an electric signal to biological tissue. The detecting device detects the heart signal of a patient. The artificial cardiac pacemaker applies electrical stimulus to the heart through an electrode. The control device controls a blood pump and the artificial cardiac pacemaker.
