<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver obtaining high-quality decoded data from signals obtained from a plurality of branch units. <P>SOLUTION: A receiver 2 includes a plurality of branch units that each comprise a receiving section for receiving a transmission signal and outputting a received signal and a CN ratio computing section for computing a plurality of kinds of CN ratios by a plurality of different types of CN ratio computing processing operations, and a branch CN ratio computing section that performs branch CN ratio computing processing for each of the plurality of branch units, on the basis of the plurality of kinds of CN ratios.
