Apparatus and method for radiometry to determine the physico-chemical properties of a sample

The device i.e. portable clamp (1), has emitting units (9) e.g. LEDs, emitting light toward a sample. A detecting unit capturing light from the sample. The detecting unit comprises a transmittance photodetector (11) e.g. silicon and germanium photodetectors, to capture light beam traversing the sample, and a reflectance photodetector (13) to capture the light beam reflected by the sample. A processing unit determines physico-chemical characteristics of the sample from transmittance and reflectance signals of the detecting unit. A reference cutter is set in the device in retractable manner. An independent claim is also included for a radiometry device for determining physico-chemical characteristics of a sample.
