PURPOSE: A light emitting device is provided to improve the reliability of a light emitting device by increasing the contact area between a bonding layer and a first protective layer. CONSTITUTION: A support layer includes a support substrate and a bonding layer(115). A second electrode layer is formed on the support layer. A first protective layer is formed on the support layer around the second electrode layer. A second conductive semiconductor layer(146), an active layer, a first conductive semiconductor layer are laminated on the second electrode layer and the first protective layer and a light emitting structure is formed. One side of the first protective layer touches with the second electrode layer and the other side and a lower side touch with the support layer.
