<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input device, an image display system, and an image input device control method which are capable of easily not displaying a part of a subject. <P>SOLUTION: A designated area to be masked can be set by performing area designation operation of surrounding a desired area on a subject (data) with a light-emission pen 4 while infrared light is emitted from the light-emission pen 4. Then, when an area detection part 16 detects the set designated area, a control part 14 instructs an image processing part 17 to generate image information in which the designate area is masked. Receiving the instruction from the control part 14, the image processing part 17 generates mask image information to mask the designated area with a predetermined color to be not displayed. Then, the image processing part 17 performs processing (masking processing) of synthesizing taken image information stored in a storage part 15 with the mask image information to generate new image information (composite image information) and outputs the generated information to an image information output part 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
