<p>Provided is a leak mechanism diagnosing system adapted such that after an engine stop duration has exceeded a predetermined period of time (YES in S100), it is not diagnosed during the current engine stop whether a relief valve, i.e., a leak mechanism is normal or abnormal (S102). Accordingly, even when a high-pressure fuel in a high-pressure fuel line cannot be leaked due to an abnormal relief valve and further the pressure of the fuel in the high-pressure fuel line is at a low-pressure level due to a reduced temperature as if the fuel was leaked, such a low-pressure level resulting from the reduction in temperature is reached slowly and thus typically after a predetermined period of time. Accordingly, since the low-pressure level is reached with no diagnosis being performed, an erroneous diagnosis of being normal can be prevented.</p> |
