<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case body of an electronic equipment, which can be used in common without troubles in the case of providing a buffer material and in the case of not providing it, without limiting the thickness of the buffer material; and to provide the electronic device provided with the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The case body of the electronic equipment includes: a bonnet 7; a rear panel 6 which is provided with a rear panel body 11 orthogonal to the bonnet 7 and a panel receiving piece 13 extending from one end of the rear panel body 11 and receiving the bonnet 7; a flat part 32 which is provided on the panel receiving piece 13 and is parallel to the bonnet 7 for installing the buffer material 9 interposed between the rear panel 6 and the bonnet 7; and a projection part 31 which is provided on the panel receiving piece 13 and directly receives the bonnet 7 when there is no buffer material 9.
