PURPOSE: A footrest apparatus for a rear-seat passenger is provided to enable the automatic operation by the simple control of a switch and to enhance durability. CONSTITUTION: A footrest apparatus for a rear-seat passenger comprises a driving motor(20), a shaft member(30), power transfer brackets(40) and a footrest plate(50). The driving motor receives power from the battery of a vehicle in operation of a switch. The shaft member is installed in order to cross in both directions of a seat back. The power transfer brackets respectively penetrates both ends of the shaft member and consists of a rotating part and a non-rotating part. The lower end of the footrest plate is located between the power transfer brackets. The footrest plate is stood behind the seatback and is spread toward a rear seat by rotation.
