<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative ornament which has high strength, is hardly broken, and suitable for a display article for appreciating the ornament for a long period of time, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The decorative ornament 1 houses a decorative body 20 within a case 10 where the case 10 is constituted of a transparent material so as to be able to appreciate the decorative body in the case 10 from a front panel 16 which is a part of the case, the decorative body 20 decorates a decorative material 40 to a base 30 placed in the case 10.
