<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can carry out printout without being seen by an outsider even in a case where there is the outsider in the periphery, and an image forming system. <P>SOLUTION: When printing concerning printing job is performed, in a case where it is determined that there is an outsider in an outsider restricted area 3a around an image forming apparatus 10a based on human detection information acquired from a detector 50a, the image forming apparatus 10a puts printing concerning printing job on hold and makes an inquiry at a management server 30 for the other image forming apparatus which can perform substitute printing. The management server detects an image forming apparatus around which there is no outsider in the outside restricted area as an image forming apparatus which can perform substitute printing based on the information obtained from each of the detecting detectors and notifies the inquiring image forming apparatus of the detection result.
