<p>Light sensors (8a, 8b) are provided with: an I layer (9i) constituting a light receiving part; and a light blocking member (14) which blocks light and is formed in a layer above the I layer (9i) constituting the light receiving part. In the light sensor (8a), an opening (14a) of the light blocking member (14) is formed at a predetermined amount of offset to the left side of the I layer (9i) constituting the light receiving part, in order to partially overlap the I layer (9i) in plan view in such a way that light components from the upper left side in the drawing can be received and light components from the upper right side in the drawing can be blocked. In the light sensor (8b), the opening (14a) of the light blocking member (14) is formed at a predetermined amount of offset to the right side of the I layer (9i) constituting the light receiving part, in order to partially overlap the I layer (9i) in plan view in such a way that the light components from the upper right side in the drawing can be received and the light components from the upper left side in the drawing can be blocked. It is therefore possible to realize a display device and an area sensor capable of estimating distance with higher precision and also enabling relatively free placement of a light receiving element having different directionality characteristics.</p> |
