The present invention relates to an exploration route cooperative navigation system, and a controlling method thereof. According to the present invention, the exploration route cooperative navigation system secures a visible distance or a communications range, and enables even a member vehicle, which can not perform group driving, to perform driving in accordance with a driving information of a leader vehicle; enables a member vehicle to drive in accordance with a movement route recommended as better than a movement route of the leader vehicle; and is able to set a member vehicle preceding the leader vehicle as a new leader vehicle. The navigation system comprises: a server managing uploaded driving related information and movement route information, downloading the driving related information and the movement route information as requested; and vehicle terminals installed in one leader vehicle and at least one member vehicle, in the case of installed in the leader vehicle, uploading an acquired driving related information movement route information thereof to the server and broadcasting the information to the at least one member vehicle, and providing a navigation service in accordance with the driving related information and the movement route information requested to the server in the case of being installed in the at least one member vehicle downloaded by the server and received by the leader vehicle. |
