<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chuck mechanism of a thin secondary battery charge and discharge test device, which is excellent in motion control. <P>SOLUTION: The chuck mechanism comprises a chuck unit composed of a chuck driving part, which moves in the direction of a battery housing body housing a thin secondary battery, and a chuck actuation part which is positioned so as to be apart from the chuck driving part in the direction of the battery housing body and is restricted so as not to move in the direction.
