METHOD FOR TIME SLOT SYNCHRONIZATION TO ENHANCE THROUGHPUT OF UWB MAC SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A time slot synchronizing method for increasing the throughput of an ultra wide band MAC system is provided to enable time synchronization between a transmission terminal and a reception terminal by calculating relative frequency offset between a transmission terminal and a reception terminal. CONSTITUTION: A relative frequency offset is calculated using the length of a super frame transmitted between a main clock and transmission/reception terminals. The MAS location of the transmission terminal is calculated using relative frequency offset and the MAS(Media Access Slot) cycle of each transmission/reception terminal. The synchronization between the transmission terminal and the reception terminal is enabled using the calculated MAS location. MaxDrift existing between the transmission terminal and the reception terminal is removed by the synchronization between the transmission terminal and the reception terminal.
