Said device is characterized in that the roller shutter device (20) encloses the front side (24), the upper side (28), and the rear side (26) of the protection device (10) when the roller shutter device is closed, the guide profile device (14) is supported in a base profile device (16) in a telescopically movable manner, a respective end slat of the roller shutter device (20) can be detachably fixed, as needed, on the front and rear sides (24, 26) by means of fastening elements (32) and a stroke device (18) is present, which acts on the telescopic guide profile device (14) and which travels a stroke distance (H) in order to create an opening (12) when the end slat on the front or rear side (24, 26) is released, an opening (12) being created either on the front side (24) or the rear side (26), the height of said opening corresponding to twice the magnitude of the stroke distance (H), the stroke device (18) carrying out a reversed stroke motion in order to close the opening (12). |
