STEEL BOX GIRDER WITH REINFORCED CONTINUOUS SUPPORT AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD THEREWITH

PURPOSE: A steel box girder, in which cross sectional rigidity of a connection point is improved, and a bridge construction method using the same are provided to efficiently resist the bending moment of a connection point. CONSTITUTION: A steel box girder comprises a longitudinal stiffener(400) and lower concrete(300). The longitudinal stiffener is installed between a lower flange(110) and an upper flange(130) according to the location of the bridge bearing foundation in which a steel box girder is installed. The lower concrete is formed on the bottom flange and two webs(120) while surrounding the lower part of the longitudinal stiffener. The lower concrete includes an opening around the longitudinal stiffener in order to prevent that the lower part of the longitudinal stiffener is buried inside.
