The wheel has a measurement unit i.e. six-component sensor (75), for measuring forces and moments applied on the wheel by a handrail (56). A determination unit formed of a touch sensitive position sensor (76) and an angular sensor determines angular position of the wheel and position of hand of user on the handrail. The touch sensitive sensor in the shape of ribbon is placed at a surface of the handrail. The six-component sensor is mounted on a hub (52) of the wheel, and the handrail is directly connected to the sensor by a rigid flange (55). An independent claim is also included for a manual wheelchair adapted for ergonomic tests, comprising sensors.
