The seat (1) has a central seat part (5), and softly padded side wings (6) arranged at a side of the vehicle seat, where the side wings are alterable in an integrated air chamber (8). A non-elastic seat cover i.e. leather cover, is provided for the side wings and connected with the central seat part by an elastic unit, where the elastic unit is formed as rubber band. A gap is formed between the central seat part and the respective side wing, where the elastic unit is arranged in the gap. A pressure sensor (15) is arranged between the non-elastic seat cover and the air chamber.
