Laser hydrography method in which at least one laser beam (7) is sent, from a known location (P) and in a known direction (a), onto the surface (5) of a body of water (4) and is sent, through said surface, onto the bottom (6) of the body of water (4), and measurement points (9, 10, S, G) on the surface (5) of the body of water and on the bottom (6) of the body of water are created in a coordinate system (3) from propagation time measurements (T1, T2) of the reflections (12, 13) of said beam on the surface (5) of the body of water and on the bottom (6) of the body of water, wherein the local inclination (N) of the surface (5) of the body of water at a point (9) at which the laser beam (7) enters the body of water (4) is determined from at least three measurement points (S) on the surface (5) of the body of water, wherein a local angle (? i) at which the laser beam (7) enters the body of water (4) is determined from this local inclination (N) and the known direction (R) of the laser beam (7), and wherein the measurement point (10, G) on the bottom (6) of the body of water is created on the basis of the laser beam direction (a), the local inclination (N) and the optical refraction which can be attributed to the respective local entry angle (? i) of the laser beam. |
