<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium that reduces the capacity of a buffer in a reproduction device more without causing the buffer to overflow even when reproducing any of plan-view video and stereoscopic video by the reproduction device. <P>SOLUTION: On a recording medium, a main view stream, a sub-view stream, and management information are recorded. The management information includes system rates of the respective streams. Each stream comprises a plurality of data blocks. A minimum size of main view data blocks is determined by a readout speed of the reproduction device in plan-view reproduction, a bit rate of the main view data blocks, and a long-jump time in the plan-view reproduction. A maximum size, on the other hand, is determined by a system rate of the sub-view stream, and whether or not there is a long-jump area between two successively read data blocks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
