PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental plaster powder not discolored even when stored for a long period after hardening, and non-stimulative and inexpensive, and manifesting an antimicrobial effect without light.SOLUTION: The dental plaster powder contains 0.01-0.4 wt.% zinc oxide powder in α hemihydrate plaster powder having an average particle size of 5-37 μm. In this case, the zinc oxide powder is preferably 0.06-0.2 wt.%. In a method of manufacturing the dental plaster powder, 0.01 to 0.4 wt.% of zinc oxide powder having an average particle size of 0.01-1 μm is added to α hemihydrate plaster powder having an average particle size of 5-37 μm and the resultant mixture is crushed, thereby reducing the average particle size of the α hemihydrate plaster powder by 3-5 μm. |
