PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve turning property while controlling the elongation-up of a front suspension through application of a proper assist force to brake operating force of a front wheel.SOLUTION: A master cylinder 6 is connected to a caliper cylinder 8 of a front wheel brake via a communication passage 11 and a hydraulic pressure control unit 12, and the hydraulic pressure control unit 12 includes a valve 13 which is controlled in opening and closing by a control unit 14. The control unit 14 calculates vehicle speed and deceleration by a vehicle speed sensor 17, and detects brake manipulated variable by a master cylinder pressure detection sensor 19 provided in the master cylinder 6. When an operating lever 5 is released, the control unit 14 calculates a change rate of the brake manipulated variable based on lowering of hydraulic pressure detected by the master cylinder pressure detection sensor 19, throttles a communication passage 11 by the valve 13 when the change rate exceeds a prescribed rate, prevents rapid lowering of caliper pressure to maintain brake braking force, suppresses rapid elongation of the front suspension and facilitates cornering. |
