PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic clinical thermometer that allows replacement of a battery and is substantially uniformly sealed by a packing around the entire circumference even after replacement of a battery, and excellent in liquid tightness. SOLUTION: An electronic clinical thermometer 200 includes a case 204 accommodating components for body temperature measurement and having a metal cap including a temperature measuring part attached to a tip part; and a case cap 203 detachably attached to a tail part of the case. The electronic clinical thermometer 200 includes a packing 205 sandwiched between the case 204 and the case cap 203 and filling a gap between the case 204 and the case cap 203. The packing 205 has a plane shape in which the shape of a sandwiched part of the packing 205 is the same as the shapes of the case 204 and the case cap 203, and has a circular cross-sectional shape.
