PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent falling of a device body 1 even when strength of a stand 2 is reduced, with respect to a thin type display device including the device body 1 incorporating a flat plane type display panel and a stand 2 attached to a bottom part of the device body 1 and making the device body 1 stand independently. SOLUTION: In the thin type display device, a stand 2 is composed of a base part 21 and a supporting column part 22 arranged erected on the base part 21, and in a state in which the front surface 23 of the supporting column part 22 of the stand 2 is opposed to the back 13 of the device body 1, the stand 2 is fastened to the device body 1. At the supporting column part 22 of the stand 2, a receiving surface 24 being approximately horizontal receiving a bottom surface 15 of the device body 1 is formed more forward than the front surface 23.
