PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in planar dimension due to attachment of a degassing valve in an electric double layer capacitor or the like. SOLUTION: An electricity storage laminate formed by alternately laminating polarizable electrodes and electrolyte layers is contained in a container. The container has such flexibility that it deforms under the atmospheric pressure and has a hole at a position where it superposes on a collector electrode of the electricity storage laminate when viewed in plane. A degassing structure is attached to an inner surface of the container to superpose on the hole. The degassing structure includes a housing for defining a passage through which a gas flows between an inner space and an outer space of the container. The degassing valve for releasing gas generated within the container to the outside of the container is disposed in the passage of the housing.
