PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nozzle for atomization with which flowing out of a molten metal can be performed without interruption when performing atomization, and the production operation of a metal powder can be smoothly performed, and a method for producing the metal powder utilizing the nozzle for atomization. SOLUTION: In the nozzle for atomization provided with a tubular body 14 from which a molten metal flows out, and in which a gas is sprayed on the tip part of the tubular body 14B to perform atomization, the outer circumferential face of the tubular body 14B is provided with two or more grooves 14C in the longitudinal direction of the tubular body 14B, and also, the grooves 14C are not penetrated in the tube thickness direction of the tubular body 14B.
