PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fall prevention device for merchandise on a merchandise shelf in which a fall prevention bar is only vertically moved when putting in/taking out the merchandise, which is not protruded into a place other than the shelf, and which enables a space around the shelf to be effectively used. SOLUTION: A support member has vertically extended guide grooves with groove width capable of fitting a fall prevention bar with play. Two fall prevention bars are fit with play into the guide grooves and bridged movably along the guide grooves.
