Blades 10, 11 of shears, scissors &c. have integral tangs 10a, 11a, and the abutment of these tangs at B, in the closed position of the blades, is cushioned by an annulus of rubber &c. fitted on the shank of a stud 14 passing through the blade 11 and riveted over on the underside thereof. The stud has an enlarged head 14a, retaining the annulus rotatably on the shank and torque exerted by the edge 10b of the blade 10 in its final closing movement rotates the annulus to spread the wear round the periphery. |
