PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition having an excellent controlling effect against noxious arthropods. SOLUTION: The noxious arthropods are controlled by applying an effective amount of the noxious arthropods controlling composition containing as the effective components 4-oxo-4-[(2-phenylethyl)amino]-butyric acid and a compound represented by formula (A), wherein X1indicates a hydrogen atom or the like; X2indicates a methyl group or the like; X3indicates a methyl group or the like; X4indicates a methyl group or the like; and X5indicates a trifluoromethyl group or the like.
