Producing a paper material, comprises preparing a moldable composition comprising water, fiber material and functional materials, molding the moldable composition to a paper material, and drying the molded paper material. The fiber material used is a fiber material with a grinding degree of at least 80[deg] SR. The moldable composition without prior or simultaneous removal of water from the moldable composition is molded into a paper material. An independent claim is also included for the paper material obtained from the above mentioned method in the form of a sheet.
