<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved cosmetic or therapeutic method and apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A method for photorejuvenation, wrinkle removal, wound healing and/or sharp pain alleviation includes irradiation of light of wavelength in a range of about 610-680 nm with a maximum intensity of preferably about 630 nm, or in a range of about 800-880 nm with a maximum intensity of preferably about 830 nm. A method for photorejuvenation includes irradiation of light of wavelength in a range of about 550-600 nm with a maximum intensity of preferably about 585 nm. A method for promoting wound or tissue damage healing includes a process for irradiating an affected part with multicolor radiation in wavelength in a range of about 405-904 nm.
