PURPOSE: A packing for blocking water leakage and a valve cartridge with the packing are provided to enhance the pressure-resistance performance of a valve cartridge and to prevent the damage to the end of a packing separated by water pressure. CONSTITUTION: A packing(10) for blocking water leakage comprises a first contact part(11), a second contact part(12) and a contact-less part(13). The first contact part is formed on the outer surface of the packing and forms horizontal contact surface with a target. The second contact part is extended obliquely from the first contact part and forms vertical contact surface with the target. The second contact part prevents the deformation and separation of the packing due to water pressure. The contact-less part is located on the upper end of the second contact part to be separated from the target and prevents vertical pressure from becoming applied to the target.
