PURPOSE: A hybrid driving system equipped with a plurality of contactors and a driving method thereof are provided to enable operation according to operable modes by opening a main battery and an engine by installing a contactor between the main battery and a propulsion inverter, and the engine and the propulsion inverter. CONSTITUTION: A hybrid driving system equipped with a plurality of contactors comprises a propulsion inverter(102), pwm convertor(108), drive motor(103), first contactor(120), second contactor(130) and hybrid controller(112). The propulsion inverter is connected to a main battery. The pwm convertor is parallelly connected to the propulsion inverter with the main battery. The pwm convertor transfers the output of a generator coupled to the engine. The drive motor is driven by the propulsion inverter. The first convertor opens and closes the connection between the propulsion inverter and the main battery. The hybrid controller controls the first or second contactors to be independently opened and closed.
