<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a power regenerative capability and travel performance of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A power transmission device includes left and right main electric motors 11, 13 for independently driving left and right front wheels 3, 5, a differential mechanism unit 15 for connecting the left and right front wheels 3, 5 to enable a differential motion between the left and right front wheels 3, 5, and a regenerative electric motor 17 that is operatively connected with the differential mechanism unit 15 and receives a rotary input from the front wheels 3, 5 via the differential mechanism unit 15. When the differential mechanism unit 15 receives the rotary input from the left and right front wheels 3, 5 by an inertial travel while the left and right main electric motors 11, 13 can drive the left and right front wheels 3, 5 separately, the regenerative electric motor 17 is rotated and driven as a generator to regenerate power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
