The drive device (12) has a drive unit comprising a motor driven-gear wheel (30) formed for combing with a gear rod (14) that is fixed to a sliding door. The gear wheel is displaceably supported at a carrier device (17) between an operating position and an assembly position. An assembly aid is provided for installing and adjusting the gear rod at the sliding door. The assembly aid has removable and rotatable assembly rolling elements supported at the carrier device for fixing the gear rod in a target position. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a sliding door-drive device comprising a gear rod. |
