PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus in which appearance of a joining part of connecting members does not become bad by exposing, and strength of louver members can be improved compared with a conventional structure, and quality of the louvers is stable. SOLUTION: The louver 4 is provided with a support frame 14 which has a pair of side plates 12 mutually opposed on a surface along the aperture of the apparatus body and a louver body 16 which has a plurality of louver members 15 installed in a direction along the side plate 12 in the support frame 14. The louver body 16 has each louver member 15 respectively formed in rising shape in a form wherein end parts opposed to each side plate 12 in the plurality of louver members 15 are connected by a belt-shape connecting member 17, and the support frame 14 has a cover part 20 which covers including joining parts 17a which protrude to mutually approaching direction from the pair of side plates 12 and in which one face on the opposite side to the lamp of the connecting member 17 is connected to the louver member 15.
